This season was a bit of a disaster for RB Leipzig.
While the start to their Bundesliga campaign was rather encouraging, their performances in the UEFA Champions League were atrocious from the start.
They ended their season in European football early with just three points and seven losses out of eight games in the group stage.
After a bad stint in the league, the club decided to let go of their manager, Marco Rose, and hired Zsolt Löw as a replacement until the end of the season.
Under Löw, things did not improve, and RB Leipzig currently sit in seventh place with just one matchday to go.
They are facing the threat of their first season without European football since getting promoted after getting eliminated in the DFB-Pokal as well.
RB Leipzig are, therefore, looking for a new manager for the upcoming season, and there have been rumours lately about big names like Thierry Henry.
In this analysis, we will examine Leipzig’s needs for a new coach before discussing three interesting candidates and the tactical approach they would bring to the club in the next couple of weeks and months.
Wolfsberger AC have been a mainstay in the Austrian Bundesliga ever since earning promotion by winning the 2. Liga title in 2012.
This was the first promotion to the top flight in the club’s 81-year history and the biggest honour the club had ever won.
Until this year, that is, as they claimed the ÖFB-Cup, Austria’s equivalent of the FA Cup and Copa del Rey, by beating TSV Hartberg 1-0 in the final last month.
And with just two league games remaining in the Bundesliga championship round, the club known as WAC for short are just six points away from adding to that triumph with a league title and the completion of a historic and remarkable domestic double.
The tough task of beating both of the remaining sides left in the title picture in Austria Wien (home) and reigning champions Sturm Graz (away) stands in their way from an unlikely championship.
But as the only unbeaten team in the championship round after eight rounds and on the high of tasting success in the cup, they will fancy their chances of doing the improbable with the pressure firmly off their shoulders, European qualification and that cup title already in their bag.
This tactical analysis will examine WAC’s late-season form and how Dietmar Kühbauer‘s men have reached the point of being just two wins away from a league and cup double.
After a solid breakout season in 2023/2024, West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows has truly gone from strength to strength.
The 1.83-meter-tall, right-footed winger has firmly established himself as a key performer for the EFL Championship outfit.
He has thrived despite an all-around disappointing season for the club, managing four goals and 14 assists in a side that struggled elsewhere for goals.
No Championship player was able to break this assist total, emphasising the quality of his creative output.
As the 21-year-old continues to flourish, suitors are circling.
Everton, in particular, have been reportedly pursuing Fellows’ signature.
In this player analysis, we will examine his profile as a player, his role in the current side, and whether he is ready for Premier League football in the 2025/2026 season.
